Update on my pregnancy

Well, I have an appointment at 1:30 today and I hope it's good news.
When I was pregnant with Lauren, I had major swelling the last few months. I had to buy a size 11 shoe, I usually wear 6 1/2. My hands swelled so bad that it hurt to close them. I was told that it was normal to swell in the summer plus I found out all the water I had been drinking was loaded with sodium. I didn't pay attention to the warning signs, either did my doctor, I gave birth to Lauren at 34 1/2 weeks. I had no contractions until hours after my water broke.

When I was pregnant with Caleb, I did not have swelling, at all! I carried him to 36 1/2 weeks. I was at the doctor that morning and she told me I was dilated to a 3. She said it could be later that day or even a few weeks but I told her I'd see her later that day. It was a VERY busy day, I did not rest at all. Stephen went to video a show and my mom (whom I called that morning and told her to head on down from Cowtown) and I ran errands. My contractions started at about 9:30 that night.

Here I am at 34 weeks and 6 days and the swelling is no longer controllable. Each day I've gone home and put my feet up. I've stayed off of them as much as possible with 2 toddlers. Each morning my swelling had gone down, but not this morning. My size 11 slip-on sandals are tight. I've had them off for an hour now and there are still impressions in my feet. I've been having mild Braxton-Hicks contractions for the passed week, and there have been some other sharp, shooting pains....well....down there.

So please pray that I can get the swelling under control and continue to work until the 21st, that's our last day.

Thanks and I'll keep ya posted!

Steph I just said a prayer for you and will continue to do so. I hope the doctors are able to get the swelling under control and hopefully it's just Braxton Hicks you're having.

Will keep you in my thoughts!
Hugs,
Sandra

Steph, I have a 35 minute drive to work and home each day. I do a lot of praying and always include my family. I hope the swelling goes down -- only a few more days until the 21st, but if you go before then -- it's God's plan. Can't mess with that. :)
