Homemade Butter

1/2 pint whipping cream
very clean nickel

Pour whipping cream into a container with a lid. Add nickel. Seal container and shake vigorously for 15 minutes or longer until butter forms. Pour off liquid. Remove nickel. Remove butter onto a dish for serving or a container for storage in the refrigerator. Salt can be added before shaking as needed.
